On Sunday 25th May 2014, the Mont Saint Michel Marathon welcomed 5000 runners from all over France and many European countries – and amongst them was our very own Jayne Storey!  Given the epic scale of the physical and mental battle they faced over 26.4 miles, the runners could not have been more blessed with the weather or the scenery in the beautiful stretch between Cancale and the World Heritage Site of Mont Saint Michel itself.

Beating back pain and exhaustion with the power of positive thinking, Jayne’s hard training paid off with a final sprint across the finish line as the 39th out of 430 female participants and 756th overall, with a remarkable time of 3 hours and 36 minutes.

The whole team at Jacobs Well is so proud of Jayne and all the effort she continually puts in to supporting the girls and the development of the business.  Jayne’s generous sponsors will enable us to provide further training and education opportunities for the staff throughout the next year, empowering each tailor with the skills and confidence to grow both professionally and personally.
